Which one is more nutritious, boiled or fried egg?

A lot of people have this assumption that boiled eggs are more nutritious and healthy than fried egg. But the truth is, the composition of a fried egg and boiled egg are almost so similar that it hardly makes any difference. Even if we study about these two, there would be hardly any difference between boiled and nutritious eggs. But if we theorize boiled egg and nutritious egg, boiled egg would be considered more nutritious than the fried egg.

Boiled eggs are cooked without oil or butter, that adds additional calories and fat to the egg dish. If we compare, one fried egg consists about 90 calories and 6.83 grams of fat, out of which 2 grams are saturated. Best eggs

Why Do Growing Kids Need to Eat Eggs Everyday?

Kids need eggs for growth. Since time immemorial people have been eating eggs and it continues to rule our menus and meals for a good reason. High quality eggs not only offer culinary variety in form of hard-boiled eggs, omelettes, egg wraps, deviled eggs, egg biryani, and so on- they also are a great source of protein, vitamins, and many other nutrients that nourish and offer various health benefits to us.

Premium eggs, which contain protein, healthy fats, omega-3, and an assortment of other nutrients, form a healthy part of your child's diet. Yet many parents wonder how many eggs can they give to a child each day? Many parents also worry about the cholesterol content in eggs. But one needs to remember here that the fats in eggs are healthy fats and do not harm the body unless it's grossly overrated.

As long as your child is not over-consuming cholesterol and saturated fat from other protein sources, eating 1-3 high protein eggs every day is perfect for an active growing child.

Egg Nutrition

Eggs are easy to find, versatile, and easy to prepare food items that are loved by many kids. Eggs also provide important nutrients that are vital to children's diets.

Protein

As per Dietary Guidelines for Americans children aged between 9 to 13 can have 2- 3 eggs every day without any problem. But for balanced growth, it’s good to offer variety in a child’s food choices. So, if an egg provides the protein at breakfast, you can offer some other type of protein at lunch and dinner for texture, variety and flavor. Nevertheless, it's perfectly fine for kids to eat eggs for more than one meal a day, as desired or chosen.

Choline

Growing kids need choline and high quality eggs are a great source of choline. Choline is an essential nutrient that helps in cognitive development. One big hard-boiled egg contains about 147 mg of choline. The suggested consumption for children is:

150 mg daily from 7 months to 1 year

200 mg daily from 1 to 3 years

250 mg daily from 4 to 8 years

375 mg daily from 9 to 13 years

Lutein and Zeaxanthin

Lutein and zeaxanthin are key nutrients that support and take care of eye health. These vitamins are carotenoids (yellow and red pigments) and are found in the egg yolk. One hard-boiled egg contains 353 micrograms of lutein and zeaxanthin. Eating eggs daily helps kids to have good eye health.

Always choose high protein eggs for children when you buy eggs. Best eggs are the eggs that are kept in temperature-controlled racks so that they stay safe and fresh longer.

5 Ways to Choose best Eggs

Eggs are highly rich in protein and various other nutrients which are essential for our body. Selecting the best eggs is a vital aspect to get the most out of it. Many conditions should be kept in mind, such as how organic it is, the surroundings, etc. Choosing high quality eggs will not only give you the best nutrition, but also you will have a great taste while consuming them.

Here are five ways to choose the best eggs to avoid skipping the nutrition any day.

1. Choose the type of egg you want to consume:

Though there is no strict categorization of eggs, we can roughly divide them based on how they are produced and their type of nutrition. Generally, you will find organic, free-range, and omega-3 eggs labels on the packaging. Getting the proper knowledge and differences about all these would help you choose a nutritious egg for your healthy diet.

2. Labels that are unregulated should be avoided:

Don't fall into the trap of unregulated labels, which may be misleading you. Tags such as natural, premium eggs, organic eggs, etc., shouldn't be considered until and unless FSSAI approves it. Always check for approval of FSSAI and then buy the eggs.

3. Select the eggs which are clean and have uncracked shells:

Sometimes you may find damaged eggs or dirty eggs. Try to avoid those eggs which are damaged due to mishandling during transportation or shipping. Always choose clean and crack-free eggs.

4. Choose small or medium size eggs:

If possible, always try to choose eggs that are small or medium in size as these eggs are less likely to become contaminated by bacteria, and you can store them for longer durations.

5. Choosing refrigerated eggs:

If you buy eggs from stores, it's always  a good idea to buy the refrigerated eggs as refrigerated eggs are free from foodborne illnesses like salmonella and are more fresh eggs.

Keep it Fresh: How to Store Eggs

It is unnecessary to tell you how important eggs are for your balanced diet. But we often use the wrong techniques to store eggs which makes them damaged, contaminated and unsuitable for eating. We are used to keeping the eggs in the plastic container that comes with the refrigerator. But that is far from the best way to store the eggs. If you are one of those persons who have been doing the same thing for years, then this blog is for you.

1. Use the store-bought container to store eggs:

We often use the store-bought cardboard container for other uses but not to store eggs. We want to use the plastic egg container that comes with our fridge. But keeping the eggs in the cardboard container with which it was bought is the best way to store those without any damage. It is because the cardboard gives the best egg for kids better protection from any kind of breakage.

2. Do Not Wash the Eggs

Many of us have the habit of washing all the eggs after we get them from the supermarket. But the best way to keep eggs lasting longer is by not washing them. ISE eggs are commercially washed, in this process many times the natural protective coating called a “bloom” or a “cuticle” from the outer surface of the egg is washed away.  But after washing the eggs, a film of edible oil is applied to the outer surface to keep any bacteria from penetrating the shell contaminating the egg. When we wash the eggs at home the protective layer gets washed away and the chances of bacterial contamination increases. Unless absolutely necessary, avoid washing eggs.

3. Do not store eggs in the door of the refrigerator:

We usually store the eggs in the doors of our fridge maybe because we think it will be handy for us. But actually, the temperature keeps fluctuating near the door and hence the eggs can get damaged. When it is very hot during summers it is best to keep the eggs on the middle shelf of the fridge and if possible towards the backside.  Because the temperature is the coldest there and also more constant. It ensures to keep fresh egg for kids and the eggs stay perfectly preserved for a longer period.

Keep eggs facing upside-down in the carton:

We usually keep the pointed side of the eggs up and the rounded side down. But it is not the ideal way to keep eggs in the carton. Keeping the rounded side up and pointed side down of the eggs in the carton helps those remain fresh for a longer period. It is because there is an air bubble towards the rounded side which maintains the yellow yolk in the middle of the eggs. This helps in keeping the best eggs fresh.

Bottom line:
Nowadays food poisoning has become very common. But it is our responsibility to keep our food fresh and clean. You can use these ways to keep nutritious ISE eggs fresh for a long time and make your food healthy.

Having high-quality ISE eggs makes sure that you get vitamin D. Eggs are one of the few edible sources of high-quality Vitamin D.

Vitamin D is a necessary substance that serves a variety of purposes. Vitamin D, sometimes known as the "sunshine vitamin," is created when your ski comes in direct contact with sunlight.

ISE foods India makes sure that their eggs are always high quality, safe and hygienic for consumption.

Sunlight is the best form of vitamin D. However, as part of a healthy balanced diet, foods like nutritious eggs, which contain natural vitamin D, can help you achieve your daily vitamin D requirements.

Vitamin D can be found in only a few foods, including:

  • yolks of nutritious eggs
  • fatty fish
  • Red meat is a type of meat that comes from
  • Liver\sMushrooms

According to ISE foods India studies, an average serving of 2 ISE eggs includes 8.2mcg of vitamin D, which is a significant amount of the necessary dietary intake of vitamin D, attempting to make them a perfect addition to the diet to promote appropriate vitamin D intake.

One of the elements is ISE eggs, a highly nutritious and widely available food. When you go to the supermarket, you will see a range of ISE eggs. Nutritionally fortified egg proteins are one of them, and they can help you stay healthy and happy. Whole egg protein is yet another excellent source, as well as a nutrient-dense food.

While the white of a nutritious egg has the majority of the protein, the yolk contains the majority of the fat, vitamins, & minerals.

One nutritious egg yolk contains 37 IU of vitamin D or 5% of the daily value.

Sunlight exposure and the vitamin D contents of chicken feed influence vitamin D levels in nutritious egg yolk.

According to ISE foods India, choosing egg protein from outside-raised chickens or those labelled as rich in vitamin D can help you reach your daily requirements.

Enhancing the nutrient value of egg protein adds to human well-being and a healthy lifestyle, and the fact that eggs can enhance maternally and infant nutrition in developing nations, end hunger and achieve long-term food security.

ISE foods India says Vitamin D in eggs is divided into vitamin D3 and 25OHD3. 25OHD3 is an active ingredient that has recently gained popularity because it is used as an index for evaluating vitamin D levels in animals and humans. Its biological activity has been five times that of vitamin D3. Only the egg yolk accumulates vitamin D3 and 25OHD3. The rate of translocation to egg yolk is 10-30%.

Conclusion:

Despite the fact that vitamin D is known as the "sunshine vitamin," research has shown that even persons living in sunny climes might have inadequate levels of the vitamin. Changing lifestyle factors, such as staying more indoors, sun avoidance & protection to lower the risk of skin cancer and pollution levels, can all affect the amount of vitamin D the body can synthesise. As a result, consuming foods that contain natural vitamin D, like egg protein , can help to ensure enough vitamin intake.

However, the fact is that boiled potatoes are packed with nutrients and may aid in weight loss by keeping you feeling filled for extended periods of time, provided you avoid slathering on the oil, butter, or sour cream that most people do.

  1. Beans and legumes

Beans and Legumes such as lentils, kidney beans, and chickpeas are rich in fibre and plant-based protein, allowing you to feel filled for extended periods of time after eating them. A diet that contains beans on a regular basis may be beneficial for weight management. Legumes include fibre, protein, and carbohydrates that are slowly digested, all of which may help to increase satiety.

  1. Chili peppers

Chilli peppers, which are famed for their extreme heat and taste, are believed to speed up your metabolism and help you lose weight. Typically, spicy or hot foods increase your metabolism because they include a chemical called capsaicin, which warms the body and causes it to burn more calories–you actually "heat up" while eating them.

  1. Chia seeds

Despite the fact that chia seeds are so little, they contain a surprising amount of protein and fiber and have weight-loss properties. Chia seeds are widely considered to be one of the most nutritious sources of fibre available. The small black seeds are a practical method to add nutrients to your meals while also losing weight healthily and simply.

  1. Grapefruits

Even though the sour citrus flavor of certain grapefruits might cause your eyes to water, the tangy taste is well worth it. Eating a grapefruit before another meal may help you feel fuller for longer and consume less calories in total.

Conclusion

If someone wants to reduce weight, they should choose meals that are high in nutrients. Foods that are high in protein and fiber may be particularly beneficial for weight control.

When to eat eggs for muscle building

It was not recommended to eat eggs every day for a long time, but that is not true. Many studies have shown that adults can eat once or twice a day without raising harmful cholesterol levels. Eggs contain excellent unsaturated fats. A bodybuilder can eat up to 3 eggs a day if he is healthy.
